i was never good at being there
never good at holding up
or staying stilland now with regret in my hands
i let go
jump off the cliff
without looking
as usualno thought to damages done
no thought to consequence
or mistakes madeand for all of it
i look down
see the ground
getting closerand wonder
if there is still time
for one lastcigarette.

Nope. No time for cigarrettes. Life is too short to waste on them! Good morning!
Great poem….

Ditto…..Smoke, Smoke, Smoke Are you trying to quit? They are now putting out information that E-Cig are bad for you…..so what isn’t bad for you? My doc agreed that the brest thing to do was quit everything but his studies indicated strongly the e-cigs better than regular cigs. I know I could quit, Anytime I am in the hospital or rehab they don’t even give me patches…I could have them all I have to do is ask. But I don’t smoke for the nicotine, you can’t make me brelieve I do, too much history proves otherwise. You have to want to quit and I don’t want to, I like it, makes me very unhappy when I don’t have it. Same with coffee or air conditioning. But if you feel the addiction to nicotine try e-cigs. I personally like N-Joy brand. Good luck and Grrrrreeeaaaatttt Poem!
@Ampbreia -that’s true but they taste good.
@soulstar76 - thank you.
@mommachatter - wow. that was literal for you. i love smoking as well but again just like you i only do it on occasion. for health reasons of course. and yep, i’ve always been able to quit or skip weeks and months on end and go back when the mood strikes me. thank goodness for that.
